"I believe that we are set free from our sin when we accept Christ into our lives. That doesn't mean we cannot still choose to sin but rather that we are no longer bound to our dead skeletons like we are when Christ is not in us. We can live in freedom in light of Christ's death and sacrifice. So often we forget we are free and walk back into shame and guilt and forget the permanent work God has done in our lives. I wrote this song to echo the truth of the gospel; that we are set free forever in Christ and Christ alone." - JD Laird
